Byrd Hairdo products hatched in 2012 when professional surfer and Newport Beach CA natie Chase "Big Byrd" Wilson set ut to look slick. Inspired by the legend of his great grandfather's hair tonic and barbershop at the storied metropole hotel in Fargo, ND, Wilson began his quest to create a modern-day pomade. 

Why BYRD? My old Newport surf team used to call me Big Bird, and I guess the nickname stuck.

What’s our secret? Without giving too much away, BYRD’s original formulas are a balance of tried and true performance-based ingredients and natural extracts, all produced in a solar powered facility right here in California.

What’s the BYRD’s Nest? From our HQ on Main Street in Newport Beach, we run a pretty tight—or loose—ship, depending on how you look at it. During business hours, we operate as a creative hub where we continue to develop new products and ideas for the brand. On the weekend, we like to throw parties like Slick Saturday’s, where we invite the whole neighborhood over to eat, drink, and have a good time. And if you’re looking for the best haircut this side of California, we give those every day at the Byrd’s Nest barbershop.
